Aulus Actief Herstel is a medical-specialist rehabilitation centre in the Amersfoort region and Powered by BioCheck partner. Owner Ben Vreman convinces not only clients, but also GPs and company doctors with the scientifically substantiated BioCheck method. Starting as a care provider in the 2nd line, the medical-specialist rehabilitation centre expanded its scope to occupational care in 2020 under the banner of Aulus Active Recovery. The team has been a leader in the treatment of chronic complaints such as pain and fatigue within the medical-specialist rehabilitation network for more than a decade.

It takes guts; starting a new vitality company in the middle of the corona crisis. Bauke Boon (35) and his colleagues Pim Lexmond and Maxim Maertens from Terneuzen took the plunge. Not quite into the deep end – FITR company was split off from fitness club Bodyline Healthcenter – but still. Fortunately, business is going well. FITR company focuses on individual counselling of patients who are working on recovery and want to improve their vitality. With this in mind, the brand-new company recently signed up as a Powered by BioCheck partner. A collaboration that is already going very well. “Bodyline Healthcenter became too bulky,” Bauke explains. “We work a lot together with De Honte hospital and other healthcare institutions of ZorgSaam Zorggroep.

Erasmus MC
Erasmus MC’s Music as Medicine Foundation is investigating the possibility of implementing music as a treatment and pain management tool in healthcare. Meanwhile, it has been scientifically proven that music can help reduce patients’ pain after operations. The CRESCENDO study uses BioCheck’s system to measure heart rate. Researchers Pablo Kappen, Ryan Billar and Sepehr Mohammadian, in collaboration with the anaesthesia department, are coordinating this project: “We will investigate exactly how the relationship between music and pain perception works and why.”
