You can learn this from top athlete and entrepreneur Patrick van Luijk
What do physical and mental fitness have to do with each other? And what can you as an entrepreneur learn from a top athlete about vitality in the workplace? Former Olympic athlete and entrepreneur Patrick van Luijk (36) makes fitness measurable with his company BioCheck. We asked him how he does this. And what his most important lessons are for staying fit at work. As a top athlete, Patrick is consciously concerned with his body. In 2009 he also started training others. This gives rise to his desire to make fitness measurable.
Patrick: “Speed is easy to measure. Whoever crosses the line first is the fastest. Assessing how fit someone is is more difficult. I wanted to objectively determine whether the people I trained were making progress.”
Return earlier after a burnout
In addition to insight, you also receive information about how your body works physiologically. And you will learn how you can influence your autonomic nervous system with cardio training and respiratory therapy.
The result? Patrick: “People feel more vital and energetic. On average, a severe burnout leads to: 242 days omission. Employees with burnout who follow our program return to work an average of XNUMX days earlier.”
